Shipping and Delivery Terms:
We offer Free Delivery on all
first orders. We meet most requested delivery times, including
same day requests. If for any reason we cannot meet your requested
delivery time we will contact you to either reschedule for another time
or offer a 100% refund. Our standard hours of operation are
7am-11pm(M-F)/7am-5pm(S & S), but we do/will work with you to
deliver at a time that is convienient for you. In the past we have
delivered at every hour of the day. So don't be shy, let us know what
and when and we will do our best to accomodate you.
You
WILL be asked meet our delivery person in your lobby or front door of
your apartment, this doesn't mean the driver can't/won't help with
bringing items to your apartment. We do bring/help bring to apartment
doors 99% of all deliveries, but there are some instances when we
wouldn't be able to. This is very strictly enforced.
Our drivers are not permitted under any circumstance to enter your apartment, or any non common/public area of your building.
Orders placed after midnight eastern, cannot be scheduled for delivery any earlier than 12noon the same day.
All
subsequent orders/deliveries within Manhattan(south of 125th Street)
are subject to a $40 minimum, all others are subject to $60 minimums(10
month time frame). Minimum order requirements are based on apartment
and person. Any household order counts toward 1st delivery, including
roommates. We can't/won't deliver to the same person(regardless of new
address) or apartment unless minimums are met.
Schools, Dorms, and Office Buildings:
We don't under any circumstance deliver into schools, dorms, or
office buildings. If this is something you would like you would need to
contact us to arrange for a special delivery.
This
means that if you are on the 13th floor of an office building on 45th
and 5th you would be required to receive the delivery at the loading
dock or street level.
This means that if you
live in a dorm or a school sponsored housing you will have to receive
the delivery in lobby or on street level.
This
means if you are a school or place of higher learning you would be
required to receive your delivery at loading dock, lobby, or street
level.
Downtown and other difficult Delivery addresses:
At
some delivery addresses we are unable in most cases to bring the boxes
up to the apartment. This can be the situation at any location based
on unpredictable situations like police or fire emergency, crane
operation, construction, or any other reason the street may be blocked
or traffic impeded. In these situations we ask that the customer
receive the boxes downstairs in their lobby.
Here are some addresses that the customer should expect to receive boxes downstairs:
-West street addresses
-Chambers street addresses
-Financial
District addresses(Wall, William, Hanover, Gold, John, Fulton, Nassau,
Exchange, Broad, Liberty, Pine, Broadway, etc.)
-Street with police precincts or hospitals..examples include E 21st in Manhattan, W 10th in Manhattan
-Normady Court buildings on e95th Street in Manhattan
-888 8th Ave in Manhattan
-Any street that the driver can't safely(personal and property safety, and parking ticket safety) park the van
We
will work with the customer on any of these items except the driver
entering your apartment and minimums, so if you think there will be a
problem or situation, please contact us to discuss and find a solution
that will satisfy both parties.
The driver doesn't NOT have the ability to negotiate these terms.

Manhattan: We deliver to all of Manhattan EXCEPT Zip Codes 10034 and 10040
Brooklyn: 11222, 11211, 11249, 11206, 11205, 11238, 11215, 11217, 11231, 11201
Queens: 11101, 11102, 11103,11104,11105, 11106
We
are currently only offering delivery to Hoboken, and Weehawken in New Jersey.
If you would like a delivery outside of these areas please call us
to discuss. The decision will be made based on schedule, size of order,
and other determining factors.
Refund Policy:
We
offer a 100% refund or exchange on any products at time of delivery.
All sales are final after delivery. We do not accept any returns or
exchanges after delivery. Any deliveries accepted by an agent (doorman,
relative, etc.) of customer will be treated the same as customer
receipt.
Weather Policy
We
are a local company and deliver in vans. We will not deliver if we
think that the weather is unsafe. As a local company we can and do
resume deliveries as soon as possible to help ease any weather delays.
We
do everything we can to honor the requested delivery date and times,
but when the weather doesn't cooperate we will not compromise the safety
of our employees or vehicles. During these times we ask that the
customer understands our position and plans accordingly by ordering with
proper time built in for unplanned weather delays.
Buyer will indemnify City Moving Boxes, its parent company, and any and all affiliates and hold it harmless from claims, suits, or damage, including attorney's fees and costs arising out of accident, injury or death from use of the container access holes or any other product, in lifting carrying, or otherwise moving the container by any party.
